Android OS Running Google Street View and Quake

The hype surrounding the forthcoming Google Android OS is immense and so it is that Google’s own Andy Rubin sat down with the BBC to demo Google Maps Street View.

Running on Qualcomm MSM7200 with a 300Mhz processor, with half the processing power of the iPhone, the Android OS looks fluid and responsive. No doubt benefitting from Qualcomm’s 2D/3D accelerator that allows him to play Quake at 30fps.

This is the first of Google Street View on a mobile device, but certainly not the last. Enjoy the video…
