There have been almost as many rumors surrounding the XPERIA X1 from Sony Ericsson as there have been surrounding the 3G iPhone but rest easy, leaked documents suggest a release in September.

Given the confusion surrounding the launch date here and here, we will need confirmation from the big wigs at Sony themselves but this correspondence between the manufacturer and Handango looks like good news for those waiting with expectant hands.
