posted in Other Mobile News |
Combining a fuel cell, Li-polymer secondary battery and control circuit into on fuel-cell system, Sony Corp’s new prototype may usher in a new world of ultra-efficient mobile devices.
The active-fuel system utilizes a pump, methanol and hybrid output to help deal with rising power demands of todays devices.
While details of the output of the device has yet to be revealed it has at least hinted that 3W is possible and suggested efficiency such that a device can enjoy 14 hours of 1seg movie can be played with 10mL of methanol.
Is this the beginning of a new wave of superfast, superpowerful portable devices? Can we say good riddance to the dreaded N95 and iPhone recharging and enjoy our phones? Here’s hoping.
