The internet has had heard rumor after rumor of the Sony Ericsson PSP phone, but is this recent patent the beginning of its step from rumor to reality?

It’s no secret that Sony wants in on the mobile gaming market or that gaming fans are longing for the PSP phone to be outed, but will this Gameboy looking patent be the one?

The patent comes with iPhone-esque “Orientation based multiple mode mechanically vibrated touchscreen display” and inside accelerometer and haptics feedback allowing easy morph from phone to games station.

If the indications here are true game-play wouldn’t require buttons but touchscreen gaming is bound to make a smudgy grease stained mess of your phone’s display.
