Sony Ericsson Berta, First 4G Phone

Sony Ericsson is first off the blocks with a 4G mobile device and the future of mobile technology is, well…ugly.

The Sony Ericsson Berta apparently reaches speeds of over 300mbs using LTE technology that follows after 3G or turbo 3G, and is itself sometimes referred to as super-3G.

Name wars aside the new technology will allow mobile video and sophisticated game play as well many multimedia facilities for mobile professionals.

So what do you make of the future of mobile multimedia?

it’s just a prototype for the moment, so no prices available

one correction for the article’s title though: It’s an Ericsson (Ericsson Mobile Platforms) product NOT Sony Ericsson
