Nike WiFi Detecting Shoes

We’ve all been there laptop in hand searching frantically for a cafe sporting the WiFi symbol so that we can get that much need email off. Now thanks to Nike you can let your feet do the looking for you with their new “A Step in the Right Direction” prototype shoes.
The ASITRD shoes alert users when a WiFi signal is within 540 meters by flashing an in-built LED.
Wearable technology maybe but flashing LED lights on your feet? How practical is this exactly?
