New Pictures of Blackberry Storm 2

posted in BlackBerry News |

The follow up to the Blackberry Storm, the Storm 2 has been seen on the internets recently and it looks like Blackberry is well on their way to putting out their next full touch screen device. Pictures of the currently in development phone have leaked and we get a nice early look of what we can expect.

The details of the model are still under wraps but the differences between its big brother that we’ve noticed are the elimination of the home and send buttons in place of touch sensitive ones. Also the edges of the model have been nicely beveled and smoothed. The from the pictures it appears the camera will be remaining the same at 3.2 MP.

Other than that the pictures don’t tell us much, but we’ve heard rumors of a new method for text inputting which would address one of the main gripes with the first model. People have been unsatisfied with the necessity to click in each text which can be hard on the screen and on the thumbs. The model is also likely to feature WiFi capability which was sorely lacking in the original.

So we’ll wait for RIM to tantalize us with more details in the near future and we’ll keep you updated along the way.
