GMail Push to come to Blackberry Phones

Blackberry Gmail

Blackberry users have some reason to rejoice. At least the will soon.

GMail is coming to Blackberry in a more substantial way in the next coming months. Up until now, Blackberry users could access Gmail and do limited calendar synching with apps that Google had offered, but the could not take advantage of the “Push” e-mail notification that everybody loves about Blackberry.

However, in the next coming months there will be apps for select Blackberry models which will allow you to get push notifications of email from your Gmail account over the Blackberry Enterprise Servers. Other synching with Google services will be available too. The only disadvantage will be that a Wi-Fi connection will be required to search through your archived messages, so it will not be complete accessible.

It appears the Blackberry is hopping on the Google train and getting integrated like everyone else. We definitely welcome it, because we loves our Gmail!
