Not long after the Street Fighter has been released for the iPhone, there have been ongoing speculations the past few days that Namco is considering a touch-enabled version of Tekken this time. But just today an insider from Namco confirms that the Iron Fist Tournament is indeed coming to iPhone and is already on its final stage of being finished although it is still not certain if it will be the Tekken 6 or a special version exclusive for iPhone. This will be another big break for the iPhone since the Tekken series has been a huge hit all over the world.

Who ever thought about using a sausage to operate iPhone’s capacitive touchscreen with gloves on? Apparently, people tend to come up with the weirdest, oftentimes humorous way to attract consumers to purchase their products. We did hear about this sausage stylus about a month ago and it was only available in South Korea back then. Who would have known that such gear would have made it to the US? The product comes with a “not for consumption” label for your safety and will be compatible with any phone receptive to capacitive touch aside from iPhone plus it can be yours for a very low price of only $0.99.

Have you ever thought that being able to talk on your cellphone by simply moving your lips or talking silently could even be possible someday? Well it might just be, maybe even sooner than we thought possible. Unveiled by Professor Tanja Shultz at German electronics fair Cebit, a device has been developed which can record what a person is saying, even if it is inaudible by measuring tiny electrical signals produced by the muscles involved in speech and then generate the thought using synthesized voice. It even automatically translates one language into another language making it an instant translation system. The device uses electromyography, which is more usually used to diagnose nerve damage, and currently requires nine electrodes to be stuck to the user’s face. Doesn’t sound good? Maybe it doesn’t but inventions have to start somewhere and it improves as it progresses over time. Furthermore, this invention will benefit those who have lost their voices through illness or accidents to speak through a cellphone or a computer.

Just when you think that things couldn’t get any better the LG GD910 watch phone that got quite a great deal of attention has gotten a makeover to further improve its already good looks. No specific information yet if this upgrade extends up to its features but for now, we can clearly see that the new LG GD910’s design has more curves and the LG logo is now placed on top instead of being at the bottom of the display. Let’s just hope that the price stays at approximately £500 and won’t be included in the upgrade.

Is Sony really going to develop a smartphone capable of downloading and playing PlayStation games? This according to rumor is Sony’s latest project with Sony Ericsson in order to combat Apple’s growing hold on the mobile gaming market. Their goal is to to create a mobile gaming device that can make calls, surf the web, listen to music and most importantly, the handset should be able to connect to Sony’s online content services that enables the user to to play many original PlayStation games. iPhone’s many gaming apps especially the recent hit on Plants vs. Zombies game that took home $ 1 million worth of sale has made iPhone a huge threat to all mobile gaming devices and this PlayStation phone might just be Sony Ericsson’s chance to shine. Although this information is still unofficial, many speculate that this will hit the shelves by the end of the year.

Nokia announced its first ever handset from the  Cseries range of phones today and it was named the Nokia C5. Nokia explains that among its core range of products, the Nseries will include Nokia’s most technologically advanced devices, the Eseries will consist of business-oriented handsets, the Xseries will focus on “social entertainment” while the Cseries will carry Nokia’s basic phones with no special features but will definitely be a lot more affordable. The C5’s features will include a 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.5 mm headphone jack, GPS, 1050 mAh battery, quadband GSM/EDGE, dualband (900/2100 Mhz) HSPA, Symbian S60 3rd Edition and will only sell for $185 each.

The LG Arena Max also known as LG Arena Maxx LU9400 has been officially introduced by LG Telecom in South Korea and it is apparently the first ever phone launched with a Snapdragon CPU at 1GHz in Korea. The LG Maxx features a 3.5 inch touchscreen display GPS, Wi-Fi, a 5MP camera, mobile TV, LG’s S-Class 3D UI, DivX support, and HD video. No information is available yet in terms of pricing at this time.

A new product has been developed by a London based company TouchType called Swiftkey helps Android phone users to increase their typing speed by up to 50% on their phone’s virtual QWERTY keyboard. It works by predicting third of words without a button being pressed and and nearly 85% of words within two characters pressed according to TouchType CEO, Jonathan Reynolds. It also features an auto correct on spelling and errors that decreases high input error rates made on small mobile keyboards and QWERTY keyboards. This text prediction app works with any Smartphones or Android models.

Another one of those wristwatch phone has been released by none other than LG and it is the first ever to feature a 7.2 Mbps 3G HSDPA compatibility for high-speed video phone calls. Unlike the previous releases this one has made video calling possible with the use of its built-in camera. It is only 13.9mm thick and features a a curved tempered glass face and high quality metal casing that makes it comfortable to wear and as a bonus it also comes with a Bluetooth headset. The only unappealing part I guess is the price that converts to approximately $1000 which is a bit pricey that can make people think twice of getting it rather than a high-end smartphone if not for its uniqueness and stylishness.
