The officially announced models include the W270, E8 and U9 and leaked phones like ZN5, A1800, A1600 and A810.

The biggest news is the inclusion of the L800T and VE75. The L800T will be Motorola’s first foray into TD-SCDMA devices and the candybar will feature 1.9″ 176×220 260K color display, 2 megapixel camera and dip in at 110 grams and 49×112×15mm. The VE75 slider will feature 2.6 inch WQVGA (400×240) 260K color 16:9 screen, dual SIM support, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and weighs 120 grams.

Perhaps the most exciting model in the mix will be the ZN5 with its 5 megapixel AF camera and Xenon flash the linux 2.6.1 operating, TV-Out featuring phone will all come in at under 12mm thick.

Motorola insider trashes the company

motorola-logo.jpg
While motorola seems to be in the midst of a crisis, their former employees are expressing their feelings towards their former employer; Motorola, the Cell Phone Giant. Please note, due to their current unemployed situation, their statments could be considered baised and unreliable.

Former Motorola employee, Numair Faraz, who worked closely with the late Geoffrey Frost — Motorola’s former Chief Marketing Officer and father of the RAZR handset. From reading Faraz’s words, both former CEO Ed Zander is pitched as a complete idiot and slave driver who literally worked Frost to death and current CEO Greg Brown is pitched as a technological moron who can’t even use email (his secretary prints off messages to read to him later).

Motorola’s Smart Rider

Motorola Smart Rider
American’s struggling handset makers- Motorola, who layed off 10,000 positions since the start of 2007 announced at the CTIA the “Smart Rider”, which sports a built-in GPS accompanied with powerful navigation features such as voice-guided directions, real-time traffic reports and automatic re-routing — the Smart Rider also features 2.8 inch screen, Bluetooth, and voice activation. The Smart Rider will be sold worldwide and will be available on the market in June 2008.

According to speculators, their new entry to the GPS feature will slowly left Motorola’s sales ( that is only considered keeping up with the market, as their currently atleast 3 laps behind ) .

Apple to Buy Motorolas Phone Division

Applemoto Logo

Speculators have named various purchasers of Motorola’s struggling cell phone division but there may be a winner: Apple.

In the face of declining market share and profits Motorola has been looking for suitors for its ailing wing and it seems the attraction for Apple comes in the form of the recently inked agreement between Motorola and Kodak, allowing Apple access to next-gen camera’s with large picture sensors and autofocus on their next wave of iPhones.

Exciting news for iPhone lovers to be sure but WinMo will no doubt be less than pleased to see the manufacturer that produces their high-selling business smartphone the Q8 go the way of their rival Mac OSX.

The first of the ventures between Apple and Motorola will follow in this mode, the iMoto’s microsite is expected online next week at www.apple.com/iMoto.

Consumers have lost another manufacturer, and Motorola fans may shed a tear to learn that the Z10 may be the last phone to carry the Motorola logo.

Good news or bad news for the cellphone market?

Leaked Motorola A1600 Motoming2 Photos

Leaked Photos of A1600 Ming

With Motorola taking a CIA-esque ‘neither confirm nor deny’ stance on the Motorola A1600 Ming its left to us the citizen reporters to ready a salivating public for its forthcoming debut.

Leaked Photos of the Motoming 2

Leaked photos indicate the much awaited and speculated offspring of the the A1200 shares more than the family name with its Clamshell brethren. The MOTOMING2 is not only another clamshell but another quadband - but the CPU has apparently improved from its predecessor.

So Motorola continues to avoid announcement and suggestions its available already in China, for now we’ll have to settle for photos of the phone and sneak peeks of the Linux UI.

Motorola A1800 Dual-SIM

Motorola A1800 Dual-SIM
I have always wondered why don’t the big giants of this market offer dual SIM phones more often. Are they underestimating the mass dual-SIM users ? Currently samsung has released their Samsung D880, which is playing as a major key in their sales this year, but where is Sony Ericsson?

Motorola has joined samsung in revealing their Linux-based Mind 1800 Dual band ( A Ming 1600 upgrade ) ,which features CDMA, quad-band GSM, and a 3 megapixel camera.

Motorola’s Split

Goodbye Moto
Motorola’s declining sales has led to a split in the large international corporation. Motorola plans to soon be divided into Mobile Devices and Broadband and Mobility Solutions. While the corporate battlefield has long reflected Napolean’s leadership motto: “Better one mediocore general than two brilliant ones”, Motorola is hoping that the split, along with two seperate CEOs, will allow both companies to operate more flexibily for an increased management focus and a more tailored capital structures. Stockholders plans to strengthen focus in the soon-to-be two companies, in hopes that the dramatic decrease in demand of the RAZR will be neutralized and the sales will finally increase. Is this the beginning of the happy ending for Motorola, or is it the headstart for disaster? Well, we will just have to wait and see.

Motorola Concept Phone with Stereo Camera

Motorola Stereo Camera Phone Concept Photos

We’ve already seen patents for 3D displays, but is this stereo camera concept phone from Motorola the beginning of 3D photo/video on a mobile?

The prospect of 3D video on mobile has obvious prospects for the adult content market, mobile gaming and, while its pure speculation, what other purpose such design could have is beyond us - panorama photos?

Beyond the mind bending possibilities of a 3D camera phone, this concept comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, multimedia player and ah, well, lets just hope its a 3D phone.
