In news bound to have work-shirking executives shuddering LG mobile has announced two new handsets that will be the first 3G models that can automatically roam 220 countries, the LG-KM560 and LG-KP330.
The phones support both the conventional GSM bands and all three WCDMA bands meaning that users will be able to roam across regions and frequencies without the interruptions experienced by other handset’s limited connectivity, even trouncing quad band cell phones.
A panel of experts from Rogers Wireless, Telstra, Cable & Wireless International, Telefonica Movile, Telenor and Entel PCS chose these two LG models to spearhead the Horizon Phone initiative to bring multi-frequency mobile broadband handsets to the world.
