Samsung, in an attempt to continue their success with wildly popular i900 Omnia, is continuing the model name with the recent announcement of 3 major upcoming phones. The manufacturer who continues to venture further into the smartphone market us has started teasing us again with a new line of Omnia mobiles. The B7300 OmniaLITE, Samsung B7320 OmniaPRO, Samsung I8000 Omnia II and the non-Omnia name, but impressive nonetheless S8000 Jet.
B7300 OmniaLITE
This one is the original Omnia’s little brother. It features many of the same functions with a slightly weaker camera at 3 MP, but it expected to have a lot of the same advantages for a smaller price tag. The phone will also have great multi-push email access and also the Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.
B7320 OmniaPRO
The OmniaPRO is the counter part to the American born Blackjack. It features a E71/Blackberry fully QWERTY keyboard, for those of you who don’t have the patience or time to get used to touch typing. It looks to be a sleek model with 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi and much more
I8000 Omnia II
This model comes with an impressive 3.7″ AMOLED Display with beautiful resolution. It is very similar to the i900 and comes with an equally powerful camera at 5 MP and also all of the needed features such as Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G and smartphone technology.
S8000 Jet
The S8000 Jet is the phone announced which doesn’t come with the Omnia branding, but is looking just as impressive as the phones above. This model is heavily multimedia oriented and is also touting its motion controls as one of the most important features of the device. You can set quick shortcuts for gestures such as taps, shakes or other motions on the screen. If you want your camera to come up, all you have to do is give it a quick shake to the right and you’re ready to take a picture. How the phone will hold up to constant shaking still remains to be seen.
So that’s the big news from Samsung. They’re going in fierce and releasing four very powerful phones which are scheduled to be out later this year. The line-up is impressive, but can they sustain it? Is Samsung spreading themselves too thin. Just remember the I8910 Omnia HD only came out last week and now there are four new challengers?
With the Omnia i8910 HD and also the just recently announced M8910 Pixon12, with 12 megapixel camera, we never thought that Samsung would be planning another major release, but behold, they are!
Samsung has launched the “Samsung Unpacked” site which is preparing the world for a simultaneous launch of their new mobile in London, Dubai and Singapore. Samsung says they are “To welcome in a new era for Samsung Mobile,” and go on to say very little else. The site details a contest they are running which lets people win the mobile with a special “unpacking” contest.
Details are scant at the moment and all that has been provided is the x-ray picture shown above. But according to the website the specifications will be released on June 5th and then we’ll be able to give you a few more details.
We’ll keep you updated as soon as we hear more about the soon-to-be-released Samsung model.
The Samsung i8910 Omnia HD is itching to be released and it is expected within the next few weeks. The anticipation is palpable and more and more info is coming to light everyday.
Check out this new demo video highlighting some of the i8910’s great features. We can’t wait to get our hands on one of these.
The Samsung I7500, the first Google Android phone, from Samsung is starting to create some buzz. This isn’t just because it will be running the innovative Android OS, but by looking at the hardware we can see this is a serious phone.
Some things to consider for the Samsung i7500:
Size - This model has an amazing screen size and on the whole it is a thin device which will be easy to carry
Accelerometer - This isn’t anything new for mobile devices, but the fact that this accelerometer operates on any axis, even upside down makes this a huge advantage.
3.5 mm Headphone Jack - This is a must for almost every cellphone nowadays. We want our music and our phone calls to be jamming on the same device. Thanks for being smart Samsung.
Camera - HTC’s Android phones have not been anything special on the camera front but the i7500 is packing a none-too-shabby 5.0 MP camera with flash. Impressive.
When HTC came out with the G1, they were almost exclusively relying on the Android OS to sell the phone and they failed to put effort into the raw hardware of the phone. Customer complained of the feel of the phone and some of the limited options.
Samsung has learned from this and they’re making a phone that people would be happy to carry no matter what OS it was running on.
Samsung’s first Android OS phone the I7500, which was announced recently, gets a pretty thorough video walkthrough by Tech 65.
The video shows off the I7500 quite well and it looks to be a fantastic phone. From the video the resolution and screen size looks fantastic and appears to have a quite responsive touchscreen. The phone is running the Android Cupcake v1.5 Firmware which is what we assume it will be shipping with.
The specs in the video aren’t completely correct. The phone will be coming with a 5 megapixel camera. Included with that will be 8GB of internal memory, video recording (!!!) capability, GPS and the option to expand up to 32GB of MicroSD video. Very cool stuff.
We are quite excited to see a new take on the Google Android OS from Samsung. Check it out!
It looks like HTC is going to have to make some room on the Android table, because the next major developer is stepping up. Samsung has officially announced the I7500, the first Samsung model that will be operating on the Android OS.
Samsung who was one of the earlier members of the Open Handset Alliance has been floating rumors around about their delving into the Android OS, but this is the first official word. What they plan to do with the system will be interesting to see and we’re excited to see the OS get tweaked in some other people’s hands.
The handset is scheduled to be released in June and from the looks of the press release it doesn’t look like this phone is messing around. Just check out a small sample of the features you will be getting
Full Web Browser Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Android Market
Bluetooth® 2.0, USB 2.0, WiFi, MicroUSB, 3.5mm ear jack
Internal memory: 8GB
It looks like there is a pretty hefty challenger out their to the G1 and G2. Especially with a 5 MP camera and beautiful touch screen display, we think that the I7500 isn’t going to have any trouble catching people’s attention.
Well all out skeptics out their will be relieved: Samsung is not capable of magic. But some of us are just as disappointed that the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD isn’t actually equipped with a cloaking device.
If you don’t know what I am talking about, last week we posted a clever little video showing off the Omnia HD’s HD video recording capabilities that played a little trick on the viewer. See the video below to see what we’re talking about.
But the internet being what it is, the trick was debunked quite quickly and we found a nice and concise video detailing just what was going on.
Many thanks to Alon for providing us with the video.

Don’t believe it? Check out the video below.
The video is a very clever viral video designed to showcase the i8910 Omnia HD’s video recording capabilities and also challenge mobile phone fans to figure out how they’re doing a little disappearing act with phone. One second it’s there, then another second it’s not.

For your pleasure, here is a detailed video review by phonescoop:
Samsung has just released a new ad for their upcoming i8910 Omnia HD mobile. The ad starts off with some pleasant photography and operatic cinematography then goes into some of the features offered on the phone.
The fictional demo is impressive and if it can come anywhere close to the speed those floating hands are using it at, it will definitely be a winner. The ad boasts the phone having an 8 megapixel camera, widget-like functions, paneled interface for multi-tasking and then the big one of HD video recording and viewing.
We don’t have any word on official release dates yet, but if this new Omnia is able to improve on the previous i900 Omnia, we know we’re going to have a winner:
