Apple iPhone 4G Concept Design with Video Chat

Apple iPhone 4G concept

Concept phones are one of our favorite subjects around here. We can imagine about complete touch screen devices, 4G connectivity and a device that can fold our laundry. Well maybe not that far, but we can dream can’t we.

A recent concept design that has caught our eye is the design pictured above. The design, based on the Macbook Air, slims down the Apple iPhone and boasts what people are touting as 4G connectivity. What this would mean is streaming video conferencing right on your phone. Fun for communicating, it may be a bit damaging to your data plan though.

The design features the streamlined tapered design and puts a camera on the face of the phone. The picture also implies that video conferencing would be functional with other applications running simultaneously which would definitely make the concept a good one.

Another hurdle which would have to be overcome is the cross platform functionality. If you wanted to chat with users on a PC for example, the iChat would either have to be available for PCs or the video chat would have to be compatible with already cross platform programs like Skype.

In any case, we dream and we dream, but we will see what the future brings. Have you seen any cool concept phones that we’ve missed out on? Let us know.
