Adafruit offers SIM Card Reader Kit and Comic Book

posted in Other Mobile News |

I was watching the Iain Softley, classic Hackers recently, trying to get my Angelina Jolie fix (oh wait, has the Megan Fox transfer been fully completed yet?) and I got my “Hack the Planet!” spirit back in my blood, but I didn’t know how to express it. That may be because I don’t know anything about hacking or it may be that no one has made a comic book telling me how to do it.

That is, until now…

Adafruit has released a comic book/guide called Citizen Engineer in the spirit of open source hardware. The book is a guide to build your very own SIM card reader, parts included! So you can learn some things about technology, how the world works and how you may be able to manipulate it.

The books are being made on demand and in a limited run. So if you’re itching to get your solder on and see what’s really going on with your SIM card you can order a comic directly from them.

Maybe now you won’t have to spend hours on the phone with At&t customer service when your iPhone loses its signal.

Check the video of the product!
