The world’s most expensive phone has been unveiled by an Australian businessman named Stuart Hughes. The iPhone 3GS Supreme costs $3.2-million and it features a 22K solid gold casing with 136 diamonds in the front bezel and the rear logo for Apple is also made up of 53 flawless diamonds. The most jaw-dropping of all is the very rare diamond at 7.1 cts which acts as the front navigation button. While many people are still affected by the recession, you can still see luxury items (cars, phones, etc.) being created which only proves that most people still remain unscathed.

Because iPhone doesn’t have a QWERTY keyboard, some people are having a hard time typing on a glass then keep hitting on another menu accidentally because it lacks the feeling of pressing on a button. Good thing there’s 4iThumbs for iPhone which gives some small bumps on the screen so you know exactly where your fingers are. The portrait overlay will cost you $14.95 while the landscape version is $16.95. Now there’s no reason for iPhone owners to feel envious to phone owners whose handsets have physical QWERTY keyboards.

Although still unofficial, many are excited to learn that Samsung S8000 Jet got itself a major firmware update. The new software version is called S8000XEII2 and it is said to make the phone even more faster than it already is. The phone browser has also been improved since you can now use the volume rocker to scroll pages. The only drawback of this update is the picture opens up much slower. Not all version of the Samsung Jet are compatible with the firmware pack so better read instructions first or you may end up having a phone with no 3G support

The Drivesafe.ly app for Blackberry is ideal for those drivers who just can’t part with their phones even while driving. Lately there have been implemented bans globally to prevent drivers from using their phones while on the road due to several reported accidents mostly concerning teens.Good thing this app enables you to put your phone DOWN while driving your car. It reads emails and SMS messages out loud to you so you can focus on the road (which is what you should be doing in the first place.) To give you a better idea, here are other key features of this app:
- Hands Free
- One-touch activation
- Bluetooth and radio transmitter compatible
- Reads text message shorthand
- Optional customizable auto-responder
Versions for both BlackBerry and Android are available and soon to be available too for iphone and Windows Mobile.

A newly announced iPhone car cradle manufactured by Magellan is GPS-boosting and functions as a speaker phone. It looks somewhat similar to TomTom iPhone car cradle although this one appears to be a bit smoother around the edges. This Magellan iPhone kit is selling at $79.99. It is the first ever GPS boosting cradle offered for iPhone so I won’t be surprised if this will become a hit.

A huge warehouse owned by Ceva Logistics in Antwerp, province in Belgium has lost 2 million EUR worth of goods when unidentified thieves cut a hole on the roof directly above the storage area of iPhones therefore rousing suspicion that this might be an inside job. The crime was done over the weekend where the thieves used a fire ladder to climb up the roof and was only discovered on Monday morning. Although the stolen iPhones can be blocked using their IMEI numbers, it will only be blocked in Belgium network and can still be sold in other countries. There are some disagreements as to how many iPhones were taken, some gave a figure of over 3000 and some over 4000.
