A short and poignant video review of the iPhone 3G has surfaced and is making it’s rounds on the viral video circuit. It features the infamous iPhone 3G ad which flexes the speed of 3G, side by side with a home video of a user using the phone in regular conditions with what is claimed to be a full strength signal.

If the video is as legit as it claims it is a pretty damning demonstration against Apple. The speed is nowhere near “twice as fast” and even though most people are already savvy enough to recognize overly slick advertising when they see it, Apple is falling short of its large claims.

Apple might want to be a little bit more careful with its advertising in future or the million or so customers they already have may be returning products “twice as fast.”
