On the back of a 38.6% increase in earnings HTC looks set for another boost with suggestions that the first Google-Android phone the ‘Dream’ may launch May 6th in London.
With companies like Palm and Motorola taking a drubbing in sales figures its only good news with HTC’s new product launch expected to include the anticipated Dream alongside the Diamond and Raphael handsets.
The Omni/Dream is thought to include full touchscreen interface and onscreen keyboard, time-sensitive touch gestures, virtual machine for true multitasking and easy navigation with icons for e-mail, text documents and YouTube along the top of the screen.

Rumors are growing that the 3G iPhone will launch in June at Apple’s WWDC and Australia may be among the first to benefit.
Apple has placed an order for 10 million iPhones with Taiwan-based Hon Hai, presumably the 3G version, and with WWDC in 63 days and counting, speculation of a launch in June appear well founded.
On the back of this speculation their are rumors that the Australian market may well skip the EDGE version iPhone altogether and launch with the 3G iPhone. Most carriers in Australia have the 3G infrastructure in place, bar Telstra’s EDGE network, and the 3G variant would appear to be the logical point of roll out for the market.
The 3G iPhone is expected to be 2.5mm slimmer with speeds of up to 7.2Mbps allowed by an Infineon-based S-GOLD3H 3G chip but will it have a front facing video-calling camera?
Speculation suggests the new iPhone will retain the current pricing of the EDGE based model. 3G in June? Looks like the whisper has become a roar.
