In an apparent shakeup of naming sructures, Sony Ericsson looks to be updating its model names for future releases. Though they will still feature a letter followed by 3 numbers, the new system will indicate the series, market, version and form factor of the phone.
As you can see from the diagram:
*The first letter, C = Cybershot, W= Walkman, S= Snapshot, X= Xperia.
*The first number indicates the models overall position in terms of high end vs low end, 9 being the highest.
*The second number seems to indicae the version of the phone, i.e same series but updated as per K800, K810, K850.
*The final number is the form factor. 0,1 and 2 for Candybar, 3 and 5 for Slider, 6,7 and 8 for Clamshell and 9 reserved for ‘other’ form factors.

Whilst there are no plans to release even a beta of the product, StyleTap have created a promising CrossPlatform Palm emulator for iPhone.
The responsive apps even use the Apple keyboard to great effect but, in what may be a new benchmark in reverse psychology, there’s even a notice on their site emphatically warning that this not a product you should be asking for.
